The building opening, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling by Victorian Senator Jana Stewart, Year 12 students Lebron Titimaea and Amali Nunan, Foundation students Nasaleta Telematua and Isabelle Veis and principal Chris Aiton, came a day after students returned to the classroom.
The school said the project, which was three years in the making, would provide better learning environments for students and help set them up for success.
Key upgrades include the fully equipped kitchen for food tech, the specialist science room, better access to administration and the library space.
Mr Aiton said the “new, new build” had enabled the school to enhance its facilities.
“The new building has helped create more learning spaces across the school,” he said.
“It takes an enormous amount of funding into buildings like this and then it’s the magic that happens inside the building that makes schools really special.”

The college spent 18 months liaising with S Group Architects to design the perfect space, with Shepparton-based Moretto Building spending the following 18 months bringing that vision to life.
The Federal Government invested $2.5 million into the building revamp, with the remaining $1.5 million coming from the independent college itself.
Senator Stewart said the investment would lead to benefits now and into the future.
“The new improvements will support the students who are here today but hopefully last for a long time to support the students who come to this school after you as well,” she said.
The Victorian Government is investing $1.1 billion into facilities at schools over the next four years.
Alongside the Lion of Judah mural, the space marks another new area for students.
