The thunderstorms moved through the Northern Country region this evening, July 1, moving into the north-east, with more damaging winds and rain possible for the next few hours.
The storm has left some homes along Anderson Rd, Echuca, without power. With power potentially off until midnight.
Properties in Girgarre and Merrigum, as well as Shepparton and Murchison, have also reportedly lost power.

On the VicEmergency page, there are a number of calls for assistance reporting trees down, including on Echuca-Mitiamo Rd, Echuca, Bangerang Rd, Echuca, the Northern Hwy, near the O’Donnell Rd intersection, and Winter Rd, Girgarre.
Drivers should avoid these areas where possible.

The State Emergency Service advises that people:
* If driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low-lying areas and floodwater. Avoid travel if possible.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
