A worker has been flown to a Melbourne hospital after a workplace accident near Shepparton on Thursday, April 30.
Emergency services were called to a workplace in Doyles Rd, Orrvale, about 9.45am.
It is believed a man was trying to get a forklift off a truck when it rolled and fell on him, trapping him underneath it.
Shepparton Search and Rescue president Nacole Standfield said volunteers from her unit and Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters worked together to extricate the man.
A specialist Air Ambulance Victoria helicopter, as well as ambulance crews on the ground, assessed a 50-year-old man and treated him at the scene.
He was then flown to Melbourne’s The Alfred Hospital in a stable condition with lower body injuries.
WorkSafe inspectors are attending the site and will determine what further action is required.
