Another three one-day fixtures will take place, with Barooga dusting the cobwebs off the cricket kit for the first time when it hosts Cobram-Yarroweyah United.
The Hawks will want to make early inroads with ball in hand after the combine's opening partnership fired last week, with Ayden Latessa (29) and captain Kane Goldsworthy (42) making more than half their side's total.
Tocumwal will look to put in its best effort against reigning premier Cobram at Scott Oval.
Daniel Hibberd (64), Chris Shaw (2-18) and Andrew Arthur (2-39) starred for the Bloods in a defeat at the hands of Nathalia last round.
The Tigers were well-served by skipper Adam De Cicco (68 not out and 2-27) and import Wian Van Zyl (38 and 3-24) in a win against Deniliquin.
The Rhinos face Katamatite tomorrow after Ash Saunders smashed 112 for the Boosey Creek Tigers in round one.
Deniliquin captain Brad Todd is hoping for a better batting effort from his troops after they were all out for 158 last week.
“Hopefully we can bat first and do it well then defend the total,” Todd told the Pastoral Times.
“They (Katamatite) scored well over 250 last week, so we will need a good score to get a win.
“It looks as though their coach Brayden Beaton has recruited from his previous club in Melbourne.
"They still have one of the overseas playing from last year, but have a couple of new guys from Melbourne.
"They are all-rounders, so their team will be quite well-rounded.
"We can see from past years, when we get a couple of early wins it can put a gap on the comp and help set up the season, so hopefully we can get the win this weekend and get our ledger square at one win and one loss.
"I believe Cobram and Katamatite will definitely be two of the top four at the end of the year.
"If we end up 0-2, it puts a bit of pressure on us to get some results later in the year, as you always want to push for a top two finish.”
Jonty Tubb will go out of last week's side - with Liam Pitts and Ben Irwin also still missing - highlighting the need for the Rhinos to bolster their roster with an import.
"We are looking for an overseas import, but haven't had any luck with locking one in that suits us, so we are still on the lookout as we speak,” Todd said.
"Hopefully one comes to fruition in the next week or two.
"If not, we may look to recruit from the neighboring area for a player, but if we can't do that we will back our guys in for the remainder of the year and see how the season pans out.”
