Held during the Australia Day long weekend in Warrnambool, Benalla Swim Club coach Gary Bowman said the club performed well above its weight, with excellent performances in the individual and team races.
Along with her top-three finishes, Maddison also took out fourth place with a personal best time of 1:20:99 in the 100-metre breaststroke, before coming in fifth in the 100-metre backstroke.
Cassidy Mailer qualified for and swam in most events across the weekend, including the 100-metre butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle.

In a pleasing result, Cassidy swam a personal best time of 1.08.66 in the freestyle on the final day.
She also led the under-16 girls' freestyle and medley relay teams, joining sister Maddison and Brianna Slattery and Olivia Moll in dropping four seconds off their entry time in the freestyle, while shaving eight from their medley times.
Benalla finished 21st overall among a crowd of 35 country swimming clubs.
Bowman said it was a great effort considering the club came into the championships with a lean four-swimmer team.
