“Overall I was happy with the results,” Best said.
“This race was really about getting used to the car, learning how the tires run and how they go over the distance, and getting used to the pace.
“Given that it's a street-track there is a lot of vibration, which is a bit different from circuit racing.
“So I was focused on doing the best I could and staying hydrated.
“Hydration is the main thing, in the last last two races my racing suit failed and I had hot water pumped in which was a bit difficult to cope with - but I got through.”

Best placed eighth in Friday and Saturdays races, making him the highest-placing rookie.
Unfortunately he was held to 11th in race three after a low-speed crash kept him from moving up the field.
“I came into turn nine and the two cars in front of me came together,” Best said.
“There was nowhere to go and I ran straight into the back of them.
“I had slowed for the corner, so probably only impacted at about 50 kph.
“But it was a good weekend. I can’t complain.
“I qualified third and finished eighth in the first race, got eighth in the second race and 11th in the last race on Sunday.”
Best will now turn his attention to preparing for the next Super2 Series race, which is held at Symmons Plains in Tasmania on the weekend of April 3 to 5.
