With the onset of beautiful spring weather and the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, opportunities exist to get some exercise and socialise with others at the Benalla Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Ackerly Avenue.
Newly elected president Mark McDonald said the courts were currently in wonderful conditions and would only get better.
McDonald said the tennis season would officially open on Saturday, October 10, with the return of the always popular community play at 9.30 am.
Parents are asked to wear a mask while supervising their children.

The club will also be organising social round robins on the afternoon of October 10, and for each Saturday afternoon in October, to encourage people who may not have played tennis before or for a while to return to the courts.
The club will be charging a small $5 "come and try" fee.
Please be at the clubhouse by 1.30 pm. Also note, players won’t have to wear a mask while playing.
