Cobram has been one of the leading junior netball clubs for several years, while Echuca United’s program has hit its stride in recent years, with a youthful A-grade squad forming this season, coming off a 17-and-under premiership last year.
Now both club’s youngest stars will battle for the flag in one of the day’s opening netball clashes.
Statistically the matchup looks pretty even, although form indicates the Eagles may have a slight edge.
Both sides dropped only a single game during the regular season, Cobram falling to United on May 30, while the Eagles were edged by a goal against Moama the following week.
The difference in overall for and against is negligible, with less than two points of percentage seeing United to the minor premiership.
The Eagles beat the Tigers again in the semi-final 21-16, further bolstering the confidence of coach Sienna Agg and her charges.
Regardless of the result, with the 13s in the final here and the Eagles under-14 footballers also reaching the decider, the future looks bright at Echuca United.
The 13-and-under grand final will be held at 9.30am at Moama Recreation Reserve.
