Murray league action was headlined by the Three Jacks clashes between Echuca United and Moama, the Magpies winning both senior matches, 6.11 (47) to 5.8 (38) in football and 66-43 in netball.
Elsewhere, Tongala had a tough day at the office by losing both outings against Nathalia, going down 9.9 (63) to 15.6 (96) in senior football and 68-59 in A-grade netball.
In the Heathcote District Football Netball League, it was a perfect day out for Lockington-Bamawm United, the Cats’ football side defeating Elmore 19.12 (126) to 12.8 (80), while the netball outfit prevailed 57-51.
Leitchville-Gunbower wasn’t able to sweep White Hills, as the Bombers’ netball side lost 69-37, though the footballers posted a thrilling 18.6 (114) to 14.17 (101) win over the Demons.
In Picola District Football Netball League, Picola United split its two matches, as the Blues’ footballers went down again, 6.3 (39) to 10.15 (75) to Barooga, though A-grade netball posted consecutive wins with a 46-38 triumph.
Meanwhile, it was another winless weekend for Mathoura’s two senior sides, the Timbercutters losing to Katamatite 5.9 (39) to 21.8 (134) in senior football and 61-23 in A-grade netball.
