The boys travelled to North Wangaratta to redeem themselves after a tough loss against King Valley the week before.
The undermanned Goorambat side showed plenty of pressure and effort in the first quarter, kicking the first goal of the game through Charlie Burfield. Unfortunately it was a tough slog with North Wangaratta showing their class and skill.
Goorambat kept fighting all day with Gavin Batchelor being best on ground with his efforts in the ruck. The backmen had a tough day with James Dalton, Brady Purcell and James Webb all among the best. Stand in captain Ryan Burns also featured.

A Grade
A dominant performance from the A grade side saw them defeat North Wangaratta Football Netball Club 55-20.
The girls controlled the game from the opening centre pass and never let North Wang settle into the contest. Kylie and Michele were exceptional in the shooting circle, converting at a high percentage which has been a major focus in recent weeks.
Olivia also had a terrific game through the mid court, providing plenty of drive and connection across the court.

B Grade
Another big win for the Bats this weekend against North Wang. We finished the first quarter with a lead and maintained that throughout the game with a 19-goal margin.
Our defenders, Kelsey Moss, Georgia Thomson and Lacey Carter were integral to the game this weekend, creating many turnovers effortlessly, allowing our mid courters to bring the ball down to our goalies. Another fantastic team effort for the Bats.

B Reserve
Goorambat fought hard against North Wang in a competitive clash on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Goorambat showed plenty of determination and teamwork throughout the match, continuing to apply pressure and create opportunities across the court. North Wang were able to capitalise on their scoring chances early, but Goorambat never stopped contesting and worked tirelessly until the final whistle.
Best on court honours went to Ella Woods, who delivered an outstanding performance with her work rate, drive and consistency all game. Fiona Doig was also influential around the court, earning second best thanks to her strong effort and composure under pressure.
Grace Handley rounded out the best players with another reliable performance, working hard in every contest and providing great support for her teammates.

Under 17s
The under-17s had a strong contest against North Wangaratta, going down 22-32 after a very competitive game.
The girls showed great intensity and determination all day and were only one goal down at half time, proving they could match it with a quality side. Lola was outstanding through the mid court with her work rate and drive, Kaitlyn was consistent all game, while Josie De Fazio impressed in defence with strong pressure and effort.

Under 15s
Goorambat’s under-15s faced a tough challenge against North Wangaratta this week, going down 41-28. With injuries and sickness leaving the Bats with only seven players, the girls showed great determination and should be proud of the effort they put in across the full game.
Best on court went to Tilly De Fazio for her speed and composure through the centre, showing patience with the ball and delivering beautiful feeds into the shooters. Emma Hall had an outstanding game in wing attack, reading the play well and driving strongly to move the ball down the court.
Alarna Button showed strong leadership on court with her talk and worked tirelessly in the ring to put up shots and chase rebounds.
It was a strong team effort from all players, with the girls showing resilience, teamwork and plenty of positives throughout the game.
