It was a slow start in Myrtleford - a beautiful backdrop for what would become a tightly held win for Roar. Early exchanges were cautious, with Myrtleford in the rhythm of the game.
Cobram found their unity, playing each ball with intensity and purpose in the second half, pressing hard, holding shape, and working tirelessly to keep the ball in motion while carving open spaces in Myrtleford's defence.
That discipline paid off, as the Roar found the back of the net for a crucial goal.
But Myrtleford weren't done. Pumped by their home crowd and hungry for a result, they lifted their pressure and pushed hard for an equalizer all the way to the final whistle. Wave after wave of attack tested Roar's resolve.
In the end, Roar left Myrtleford with exactly what they came for: a hard-fought win, a united team performance, and grins all around on the trip home.

On a sunny but chilly morning, Cobram Roar FC's under-16s were the first team to take the field at Myrtleford, playing on a grassy but muddy Field 1.
There were a few changes to this week's line-up, with Steven Burns taking the reins as coach. Owen Stubbs moved into midfield, while Lucas Pickering stepped into the goalkeeper's role.
Myrtleford took control in the first half, scoring two goals. However, Cobram's defensive unit of Mattias Burns, AJ Burrows, Will Young and Caleb Crisafulli worked tirelessly to deny several more scoring opportunities, keeping the visitors within reach.
The Roar responded in the second half when Knox Leonard found the back of the net to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Cobram continued to push forward, creating attacking opportunities, but were unable to convert their chances into an equaliser.
Despite the result, the team showed determination and resilience throughout the match. Caleb Crisafulli was rewarded for another outstanding performance, earning the Playing Award for the second consecutive week.

Myrtleford Savoy SC Division 3 Men 1-2 Cobram Roar FC Division 3 Men
On a ground that resembled more of a muddy dairy paddock than a football pitch, Roar’s Division 3 Men’s side secured another important away win on Sunday, surrounded by the rolling alpine hills of Myrtleford.
Henry Siumae put Roar in front as the two evenly-matched sides headed towards half time, putting his name on the scoresheet in the 28th minute.
Myrtleford came out in the second half full of energy and consistent attacks were finally rewarded in the 45th minute, but this not deter Roar’s enthusiasm.
The winning goal for Cobram was secured in the 59th minute when Michael Davies – ignoring the calls to take a touch and pass to feet – struck the ball from just in the Myrtleford half, with the spin and bounce of the ball going over the keeper and into the back of the net.
Roar’s Division 3 Men’s side continues its march towards the finals series, which may see them play Myrtleford again.

Cobram Roar travelled to face second-placed Myrtleford on the weekend and came away disappointed after a hard-fought 3-2 defeat.
Roar got off to the perfect start, finding the back of the net just three minutes into the match. However, Myrtleford responded quickly, levelling the score and settling into the contest.
Playing on a very slippery pitch Myrtleford took their opportunities when they came. The difference on the day was simply their ability to capitalise on their chances, with Roar showing they were more than capable of matching one of the competition’s top sides.
Roar’s goals came from Kieran O’Donnell, with his second goal coming from the penalty spot after George Wiles was brought down inside the box.
Despite the result, coach Billy Marshall was extremely pleased with his team’s performance and the effort shown throughout the match.
“We were very competitive against a quality Myrtleford side,” Marshall said.
“The boys worked hard and the performance was a really positive sign heading into the final rounds.”
The result sees Roar remain in fourth position on the ladder with just three rounds remaining as they continue their push towards finals.
Next week presents another huge challenge, with Roar taking on ladder leaders Albury City in what promises to be an important clash as the season reaches its business end.
