Deniliquin Rovers Netball Club enjoyed a successful day on court against Katandra on Saturday, with strong performances across the grades as the club celebrated Pink Sports Day in support of Play 4BCNA (Breast Cancer Network Australia).

Players proudly wore pink socks, pink ribbons and pink bibs, while matches were played with bright pink netballs to raise awareness and funds for Australians affected by breast cancer.
The day highlighted the club's commitment to supporting an important cause, with players, officials and supporters embracing the pink theme while enjoying an outstanding day of netball.
Following the games, celebrations continued with the club's annual Ladies Day, which also raised funds for Play 4BCNA.
The event brought together players, supporters and sponsors for an afternoon of fun and fundraising, capping off a memorable day both on and off the court.
The Rovers also celebrated a successful day of netball, recording impressive results across the grades.
A-grade: Deni Rovers 39 def Katandra 36.
The girls came away with a hard-fought win over Katandra in a competitive contest that went right down to the final whistle.
Rovers made a strong start, opening up a 12-6 lead at the first break before Katandra fought back to keep the contest close. The margin remained within a few goals for most of the afternoon, but the Rovers showed great composure in the final quarter to hold on for a deserved three-goal victory.
The defensive unit was outstanding all day, applying relentless pressure and forcing plenty of turnovers. Their ability to work together and create opportunities for the attacking end proved a key factor in the result.
In attack, the Rovers continued to build strong combinations and capitalised on the opportunities created. It was also fantastic to see juniors Ruby Cowley and Bae Willis step up and embrace the challenge against experienced defenders in the goal circle.
A special congratulations goes to Bell McIlwain, who made her A-grade debut. Belle took the opportunity with both hands, stepping onto the court with confidence and showing great composure throughout the game.
It was a terrific team performance, with every player contributing when it mattered most. The girls stayed composed under pressure, trusted one another and worked tirelessly for four quarters to secure an impressive win.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 49 def Katandra 33.
Deni Rovers B-grade produced a strong four-quarter performance to record an impressive victory over Katandra, combining disciplined defence with polished attacking play.
The defensive unit successfully implemented strategies refined at training, working cohesively to apply relentless pressure, force turnovers and disrupt Katandra's attacking momentum. Their ability to anticipate play and quickly convert defensive gains into attacking opportunities proved a key factor in the result.
At the other end of the court, the attackers worked tirelessly to create space, allowing the midcourters to deliver accurate and timely feeds. Sam Hughes and Bell McIlwain were outstanding under the post, shooting with impressive accuracy while securing crucial rebounds. Their strong connection with the midcourt ensured the scoreboard continued to tick over throughout the match.
It was a complete team performance, with every player making a valuable contribution to an outstanding win.

The under-15s made a successful return after the bye, producing an impressive performance to defeat Katandra.
With a strong defensive focus heading into the match, the girls had clear goals and went to work from the opening whistle, creating pressure, forcing turnovers and disrupting Katandra's attacking flow.
Nina Glowrey led from the front with her consistent effort and intensity throughout the game. Lilly Boyer was again a strong presence under the post, creating plenty of turnovers in the attacking end, while Georgia Danckert continued to be a reliable and influential player on the rebound, using her strong passing to drive the ball down the court and create scoring opportunities.
It was another excellent team performance, with the girls maintaining their intensity and focus for the entire match.

Under-13s: Deni Rovers 46 def Katandra 9.
The under-13s returned from the bye in impressive fashion, recording a convincing win over Katandra.
A focus at training on increasing work rate and pace paid immediate dividends, with the girls racing to a 12-5 lead at the first break. They moved the ball quickly and effectively from centre passes and transitioned smoothly from turnovers into attack.
The shooting accuracy of Harper Bulmer, Indi Conallin and Maddison Danckert was a standout, with all three converting confidently from around the circle despite the pressure of determined defenders.
The momentum continued into the second quarter as midcourters Khoa Unwin, Peggy O'Donnell, Laila White and Sophie Bulmer combined with excellent teamwork and speed to create strong attacking opportunities. In defence, Pallas East, Bella Leetham and Isabella Goodear applied relentless pressure, preventing easy ball movement into the shooting circle and creating valuable turnovers, particularly at the top of the circle.
It was an excellent team performance, with the girls displaying control, precision and a tremendous work ethic throughout the match.

The under-11s should be very proud of the effort they put into their game. It was fantastic to see everyone working together, encouraging one another and continuing to improve throughout the match.
Indie Bulmer was outstanding with her strong drives, creating great attacking opportunities and working hard to get into space. Mia Fitzmaurice applied consistent defensive pressure and never gave up on a contest, while Leah White communicated well across the court and made smart decisions with the ball under pressure.
Sophia Lehmann covered plenty of ground through the midcourt, providing excellent support in both attack and defence. Lucia Crane timed her leads well and worked hard to create options for her teammates, while Winnie Horton showed great determination in defence, contesting every pass and coming away with valuable turnovers.
Lainey Sampson displayed excellent court awareness, using the ball confidently and making herself available when needed. Evie Hunter worked tirelessly all game, applying pressure and supporting her teammates at every opportunity. Hadley Poka produced a strong defensive game, staying tight on her player and making every contest count, while Morgan Sampson remained composed with the ball, delivering accurate passes and helping keep play flowing.
Overall, it was a fantastic team performance, and the coaches were extremely pleased with the effort, teamwork and positive attitude shown by every player. Keep up the great work!
