After 50 years of genealogy research, Jill wanted her story to be remembered for future generations. She was born on 30 October 1944, to Ronald & Amy Joyce (née Jamieson) Donnellan. Elder sister to Ronald Jr & Jennifer. On 14 December 1963, Jill married Canadian Robert (Bud) Pratt in Alice Springs NT. They had 3 children, Tracee Lee 1964, Robert George Edward 1967, Kevin Stuart 1969 and 5 Grandchildren, James, Siobhan, Stephanie, Callum and Niamh.
Jill had a very successful career which included PA to the Mayor of Alice Springs Leslie Oldfield, as well as Secretary to the Alice Springs Lakes Enquiry, She also setup the Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame.Jill then helped manage Bud’s Surveying practice and became very proficient in CAD Drafting, before retiring with Bud to SE QLD in 2007. Jill was a loving wife, mother & grandmother. She was dogged, determined and didn’t stand any nonsense, yet she was hard working, kind, loyal & generous.
Jill died on 6 November 2024 at the Caboolture Private Hospital, surrounded by her family. She is sadly missed leaving a large hole in the fabric of our small family. We were grateful that her suffering ended, and believe she is now looking out for us from a better place.
