Back to the Future star James Tolkan dies aged 94
James Tolkan, known for Back to the Future and Top Gun, has died aged 94 after a remarkable acting career spanning decades.
Steve Quinn, who passed away this month, was a true innovator in Australian hardware and foundational to how Bunnings merchandises today. He was a relentless champion for customers, a generous and much-loved leader and leaves an indelible mark on the Bunnings culture.
His pursuit of finding the lowest prices for our customers and eye for detail and quality are legendary. He pioneered bulk-stacked products for tradies that remain an industry standard today. He supported countless suppliers to grow with Bunnings over many years and was respected across the industry.
"Quinny" - as he was affectionately known - was a kind and generous leader. He shaped generations of Bunnings buyers; with patience, care, and an unwavering commitment to getting the fundamentals right. His leadership was always grounded in doing what's right - for our team, our customers and suppliers. He helped build the culture we're proud of today.
His humour, quirky memos, and lost cameras are part of Bunnings lore and remembered fondly.
We pay tribute to a true mentor and mate. He made us better merchants and better people. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
We extend our most sincere condolences to Steve's wife Mary and children Vaughan, Pheobe, Darcy and family.
