Remembering Sam Neill: A life beyond the screen
Sam Neill leaves behind an extraordinary screen legacy and memories of a thoughtful, humorous man whose life reached far beyond acting.
William “Will” Renshaw OAM, founding partner of RDL Accountants, passed away on 9 February 2026. Will began his accounting career in 1942 and served in the Royal Australian Air Force during WWII before returning to the profession. He later established his own practice in Blackburn, which became part of the 1986 merger forming RDL Accountants. He retired as a partner in 1990 and continued as a consultant to the firm until 2004.
Will was instrumental in shaping the firm’s enduring values of professionalism, excellence and integrity. He encouraged staff to use their professional skills in service to the wider community, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service to a range of Christian organisations — recognised in 2018 with the awarding of the OAM.
Many long standing clients continued with the firm for decades, a testament to his dedication and integrity. Will is remembered with deep respect and gratitude by colleagues, clients, and the many organisations he served.
