From this point on she became involved with many of the club’s service activities.
A great example of this is Jan’s involvement with the Portsea Children’s Camp, which has been ongoing since she joined.
Former president Bruce Walker said she had participated in many ways, including taking part in working bees as well as being a children’s councillor/leader for many years.
“And she still has a strong commitment to Rotary’s involvement in this very worthwhile endeavour,” Mr Walker said.

“Since then she has served on a number of committees and has been on the club board for many years.”
She has served as director of youth, secretary and treasurer, a position she has held for the past four years.
“A major highlight of Jan’s Rotary life was being inducted as a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of her commitment to the ideals of Rotary,” Mr Walker said.
