AÂ driver was found to have a Blood Alcohol Concentration level more than three times above the legal limit in Benalla on Monday evening.
Police intercepted a vehicle after observing it driving erratically just after midnight.
The 53-year-old driver provided a positive roadside breath test and was conveyed to the Benalla Police Station for an evidentiary breath test where he furnished a reading of 0.153.
His licence was immediately suspended and his vehicle impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1625. He will be summonsed to appear at court at a later date.
