Benalla Health has announced the appointment of Ro Enever as its new chief executive officer, commencing July 20.

Ms Enever joins Benalla Health from Robinvale District Health Services, where she served as chief executive officer and provided leadership across rural healthcare services with a strong focus on community engagement and high-quality patient care.
With a clinical background in nursing and more than 30 years' experience across the healthcare sector, Ms Enever brings extensive leadership experience spanning public and private health services, aged care, acute services, operating theatres, multidisciplinary medical practice and metropolitan hospitals.
Benalla Health board chair Sarah Chaplin said Ms Enever's appointment followed an extensive recruitment process and marked an exciting new chapter for the organisation.

Ms Enever said she was excited to join Benalla Health and looked forward to meeting staff, volunteers, healthcare partners and members of the community.

“I look forward to listening, learning and understanding what makes Benalla Health such a special place, while working together to build on the excellent foundations already in place.

The board also acknowledged the contribution of former chief executive officer Jackie Kelly for her leadership of Benalla Health and thanked interim chief executive officer Donovan Jacka for his stewardship during the transition period.
Over the coming months Ms Enever will be introduced to key stakeholders across the region as she works to strengthen partnerships with local healthcare providers and community organisations.
