The St Joseph's Primary School student absolutely blitzed the competition at this year's Benalla Division Athletics Carnival (where St Joseph’s competed against Benalla P-12 College) and the Ovens and Mitta Division Athletics Carnival, finishing first in the long jump and triple jump events.
Grace's domination in the field events saw her book a position at the Hume Regional Championships where she once again topped the leader board, earning herself a spot at the state championships in Melbourne.
The state’s top competitors proved to be Grace’s toughest challenge yet, though the Year 6 student put her best foot forward to bring home a fifth place in triple jump as well as eighth place in the long jump.
The St Joseph’s community wishes to congratulate Grace for her outstanding efforts in athletics this year and commended her for the exemplary sportsmanship shown throughout her competitive journey.
