The shelter is run entirely by volunteers and helps keep people experiencing homelessness in Benalla warm and safe throughout winter.
BHRG president Kate Holmes said it would be a “traditional old school bush dance”, with local band Bally Kiel performing.
She said there would be people demonstrating the dances, making them easy to follow.
“The first set will be very kid-friendly with easier dances, and we’ll all get up on the dance floor, and they’ll direct us how to do the dance,” Ms Holmes said.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The dance will be held at the Benalla Presbyterian Church on Friday, May 29, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Supper will be available on the night thanks to Benalla P-12 College community service students, and the event will be alcohol-free.
