Mayor Danny Claridge said annual prune was an activity the council’s horticulture staff valued.

“The staff care a great deal for the health of the roses and all the plants in the Botanical Gardens,” Cr Claridge said.

“The prune is an important activity in the annual care cycle of the roses.

“Being able to provide cuttings from the gardens to the community is a wonderful way for them to share its beauty and produce.”
