The Edward River Library has been a popular option for many different visitors these school holidays.

As well as taking part in special school holiday programs, some families have chosen to head to the library to simply explore and expand their minds.
When the Pastoral Times visited during week one, the special activity on offer was a beaded puppets workshop.
But others chose to peruse the shelves for reading material, or sit down with a game.
The school holiday program continues this week with lucky‑dip craft bags on Monday, virtual reality fun on Tuesday, a mini comics and ‘zines workshop on Wednesday, loom‑bands on Thursday, and Splat! craft sessions on Friday and Saturday (book your Splat! spots at the library).
Another great active option for the children these school holidays is the junior clinics at the Deniliquin Golf Club.

Set for this Thursday, July 16 and run by pro golfer Jody Fleming, the 10am-11am session will target primary school aged children, while secondary school students get their chance from 11am-12pm.
Both are hosted with the support of Golf NSW and Jack Newton Junior Golf.
The cost is $10 per child, which also includes a sausage sizzle lunch, drinks and an opportunity for course play and other golfing activities with the support of club members.
No experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own clubs if they have them.
Families can also enjoy Edward River Council’s free movie screening at the Deniliquin Town Hall, with Kangaroo, on this Tuesday, July 14 from 4.30pm.
It’s the perfect excuse to gather the kids and enjoy a fun afternoon out.
If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in town, don’t forget Cruizin* Diner. Pair your diner experience with a visit to the neighbouring The Depot Historic Vehicle and Memorabilia Collection.
In the museum, children can also become junior detectives with the popular treasure hunt activity, searching for hidden mini Kombi vans throughout the museum.
There are also special meal deals at the Coach House and Deni RSL Club.
At the Coach House, every kids’ meal comes with a free ice-cream and soft drink for those ages 12 and under. The deal is available for lunch and dinner, but ends after this Friday.
Meanwhile, on top of the regular daily entertainment at the Deni RSL, the club has a school holiday meal deal on Sunday.
If you purchase an adult meal in the restaurant, you get one free meal from the special kids’ menu for children under 12.
