Two dead after car and truck collide in Heathcote

Police said the two occupants of the car died at the scene.

The male driver of the truck was not injured and stopped at the scene, police said.

This year, 129 lives have been lost on Victorian roads.

Police are appealing for dashcam footage from anyone who may have been driving in the area just before the collision.

The intersection of Northern Hwy and McIvor Hwy was closed after the incident.
