A Grade
A Grade went down 41-29 to a quality Whorouly outfit. We put together a really strong first half and matched it with one of the competition’s top sides, but as the game wore on we couldn’t quite sustain the intensity and physicality they brought.
Sarah Blackburn was outstanding with another consistent performance, while Kylie continued to provide a strong target in goals. Nelle worked tirelessly across the court, creating opportunities and never giving up as the girls fought the game out until the final siren.

Chloe Culhane had a standout game, using strong holds to provide easy feeding options for her teammates before finishing with accurate shooting. Aaliyah Wakley worked hard through the midcourt, using front cuts to lose her defender and transition the ball into the attacking end. Eliza Keen also earned a place among the best players, applying excellent defensive pressure and collecting several deflections.

Seniors
Goorambat hosted Whorouly on a great day for football. Late outs left Goorambat searching to bring a team together but Goorambat put in a valiant effort against a well drilled and well led Whorouly.
With a very undermanned squad Goorambat understood what they were asked and fought hard all day in a very positive outing for the team, young gun Hunter Carter played with heaps of grit and Matthew Priest stood up and battled during a lot of tough contests. Although a disappointing result it was good to see Goorambat fight hard all day and not give in.
