Goorambat had a number of members place well in vote counts at the recent Ovens and King Football Netball League Presentation Night, held on Sunday, August 16, while the off-field efforts of another Bats pair were also honoured.
Olivia Ryan walked away with the biggest accolade of the lot, though, named at wing defence in the A grade Team of the Year, while also earning the nod as vice captain in that squad.
Her brilliant season was also recognised by the umpires, with Ryan polling extremely well to finish third in the A grade League Best and Fairest, having been the standout performer for the Bats, who finished fifth on the ladder with a 12-6 record.
In B grade, Kelsey Moss also polled well to finish as runner up in the B Grade Best and Fairest, while earning another podium finish in the Most Valuable Player award, finishing third.
It was result matched by both Fiona Doig, who finished third in the B Reserve Most Valuable Player award, and Matilda De Fazio, who came third in the under-15s MVP.
Another highlight was the representative honour extended to Amelia Gall, who was recognised for her work as the 17 and under O&K representative side coach, while Stacey Nolan’s tireless work off field was also recognised by the league, with Nolan named the O&K Volunteer of the Year.
