Blues and Dooks feeling grey after deadlock

However, Picola would respond in kind after the break, surging into a precarious four-point lead of its own at the last break.

A see-sawing final term saw things all locked up on the final scorecard, but with a 22-17 scoring shot lead, the Blues will be the team ruing its missed opportunities slightly more.

Hayden Brown continued his consistent attacking contributions for Picola, kicking three, while Sean Solar chipped in two.

The two points edge the Blues up one place on the table into 11th, still sitting a win-and-a-half adrift of the top eight.

Picola’s next encounter sees it battle a familiar rival, Tungamah, the side that ousted it from the finals in each of the past two seasons.

The Bears sit two points above the Blues, heading into the clash at Tungamah on Saturday.
