Shepparton United’s expected destruction continued in round eight, pulverising a Shepparton Swans outfit full of heart, but without the ability to match the supremely talented Demons.

The Demons moved to a staggering percentage of 994.1 after the 165-point win as Paige Baksh finished with seven goals.

Mansfield held Tatura to one behind in a 46-point victory, securing its spot in the top four by a game plus percentage.

Cobram remains tucked inside the September equation after Nathalia forfeited its match on Saturday, putting a dent in the Purples’ post-season hopes.

The Purples boast a positive percentage, but with two forfeits this season are now two games out of a finals spot.

Moama remains the likely challenger to the Demons’ throne after making short work of Rumbalara, inaccuracy hindering a larger win with the full-time scoreline 10.21 (81) to 1.1 (7).

In the youth girls competition, Shepparton United surpassed the Swans on the ladder after a 23-point win at Princess Park, while Cobram piled on 17 scoring shots to five in its 4.13 (37) to 1.4 (10) win over Nathalia.
