A Grade had another highly competitive contest against Greta, going down 30-37. The game was tight all day, with both sides going goal for goal and neither able to break away.
Heading into the final quarter just one goal down, the game was well within reach, however, similar to last week we were unable to finish strongly.
Eliza Cole was outstanding, leading from the back with a strong defensive performance, while Charli Button worked tirelessly through the mid court to provide drive and connection. Michele Button was also influential in attack, playing her role and contributing under pressure.
A lot to like from the performance, with finishing games the key focus moving forward.

B Grade
It was another tough and hot game of netball for the Bats today, a slow start saw them fighting hard to close the gap. The defenders, Alison Ellis and Georgia Thomson had to work hard for turn overs and made every opportunity they could from their rebounds.
We welcomed Lacey Carter into our side and she blended in seamlessly. Mya, Amelia and Tiffany worked hard down the midcourt, with the benefit of fresh legs rotating through.
Our goalers have been working on shooting under pressure, and today that definitely helped, as Kelsey, Chelsea and Poppy worked hard creating space and movement in the ring.
Everyone on the court gave it 100 per cent which made it very hard to pick our bests. It’s a pleasure to coach a great group of girls.

B Reserve
Greta secured an impressive win over Goorambat in their B Reserve netball match, finishing 73 to 46 in a dominant display on court.
From the first centre pass, Greta set the tone with strong defensive pressure and accurate shooting, quickly building a lead that proved difficult for Goorambat to reel in. Despite the scoreboard, Goorambat showed great determination throughout the game, continuing to contest every ball and work hard across all four quarters.
Goorambat had some standout performers who never gave up the fight. Grace Handley was awarded Best on Court for her outstanding effort, consistently driving play and working tirelessly across the court. Her ability to read the game and create opportunities for her teammates was a highlight.
Abby Hammond earned second best for her strong performance, showing composure and reliability in key moments, while Chelsea Cole rounded out the best players with a solid all-round game, contributing both in attack and defence.
While the result didn’t fall Goorambat’s way, the team can take plenty of positives from their effort and resilience against a strong Greta side.

Under 17s
It was a tough day for our under-17s, going down to a strong Greta side. Despite the result, there were still some standout efforts across the court.
Bonnie led the way with a consistent performance, working hard all game and setting the standard. Cienna also had a strong impact through the mid court, providing drive and effort, while Pippa was reliable in defence, continuing to contest and apply pressure.
While the scoreboard didn’t reflect it, there were positives to take and plenty to build on moving forward.

Under 15s
Goorambat’s under-15s took on Greta this week, going down 41-9. The Bats had a slow start, taking some time to warm into the game, but continued to show effort as the match progressed.
Alarna Button led well with her voice, providing great talk on court to support her teammates and feeding effectively into the goalers. Eliza Keen worked hard through the midcourt, using strong front cuts and driving the ball down the court. In attack, Aaliyah Wakley played well shooting, and offered a valuable option outside the ring to help work the ball in.
While the Bats were unable to match Greta across the four quarters, there were positive signs throughout the game, with plenty to take into training moving forward.
