Presented by the Austin 7 Club Inc, Historic Winton continues its proud tradition of celebrating classic, vintage and historic vehicles in a relaxed, welcoming and uniquely social race meeting.
Austin 7 Club member and Historic Winton Event Coordinator John Kessner is confident the 2026 event will once again deliver a full weekend experience for competitors and spectators alike.
Attendees can expect competitive historic racing, outstanding vehicle displays, a bustling automotive market, quality food and beverage offerings and a friendly, social atmosphere that Historic Winton is renowned for.
The event attracts like‑minded motoring enthusiasts from across Australia, creating a special camaraderie both on and off the track.
In a move to encourage even more display vehicles, the Austin 7 Club is offering free display passes (driver plus one passenger per car) for anniversary marques and invited clubs.
Spectators can also access the competition paddock, giving them the rare opportunity to get up close to the race cars and chat with drivers, something that remains a signature feature of Historic Winton.
While the atmosphere is relaxed and social, the racing is anything but.
“The buzz is fantastic,” said Mr Kessner.
“But as soon as the helmet is on and the car revs, it’s game on.”
A full race program, including some new features, will be announced in due course.
The 49th Historic Winton remains an iconic event, bringing together racers, car clubs, families, tourists and motorsport fans to celebrate the passion and legacy of historic motorsport at one of Australia’s most approachable race meetings.
