Nada’s worthy milestone

The Rennie Netball Club celebrated a very special milestone on Saturday, with Nada Nolen taking to the court for her 300th game in Rennie colours.
Congratulations went to Nada on this incredible achievement.
The club thanked Nada for everything she continues to contribute, both on and off the court.
Her loyalty and efforts over the years are truly appreciated, and the club was proud to celebrate this amazing milestone with Nada and her family.
The club also thanked the Mathoura Netball Club for joining the pre-game ceremony.
There were many great results throughout the day, including the first win of the season for Rennie’s C Reserve side.
A Grade
Rennie 53 defeated Mathoura 18
Rennie’s A Grade side produced one of its most complete performances of the season, recording a convincing 53–18 win over Mathoura.
From the opening whistle, Rennie set the tone with relentless defensive pressure and smooth ball movement through the court.
Every player performed her role, with strong communication, patience in attack and determined defence making it difficult for Mathoura to gain momentum.
It was a genuine team performance, with everyone contributing and supporting one another throughout the game.
Congratulations went to this week’s award winners.
Rnc Incentive Award – Brylee McCarthy. Lake Mulwala Hotel Award – Leisa Hodgson. North East Campers Award – Claire Dawson. Miss Dolly Award – Mykie McBurnie.
The entire team deserved praise for a dominant four-quarter effort.
The team will look to carry this confidence and intensity into next week’s game.
B Grade
Rennie 27 defeated Mathoura 19
Rennie produced a fantastic team performance, coming away with a well-earned win after four quarters of determined and disciplined netball.
A special mention went to Lily, who stepped up confidently in her senior netball debut.
She embraced the challenge, played with composure and made a valuable contribution to the team’s success.
Rennie’s defenders worked tirelessly from the opening whistle to the final siren, applying relentless pressure and creating numerous turnovers.
Their persistence and teamwork gave the attacking end plenty of opportunities, and the shooters made the most of them by converting those turnovers into valuable goals.
It was a complete team effort, with every player contributing to the result through hard work, communication and support for one another.
Awards went to Celine, Lily, Ella and Autumn.
The entire team deserved praise for a great win and an excellent performance of which it can be proud.
C Grade
Rennie 57 defeated Mathoura 22
Before the match, Rennie celebrated Nada’s incredible 300th game and recognised her outstanding commitment to the club.
Once the presentations and speeches were complete, the team’s focus quickly shifted to the task at hand.
From the opening whistle, the players worked cohesively, creating space, driving with confidence and moving the ball with strong, accurate passing.
Their teamwork and communication were evident across the court.
Rennie was thrilled to welcome Kayla back from injury.
She made an immediate impact with her positive attitude and determination, combining beautifully with Tess in the goal circle to build a lead that continued to grow throughout the match.
In the midcourt, Lexie and Nada worked seamlessly together, showing excellent awareness of where they were needed while applying relentless defensive pressure that disrupted Mathoura’s flow.
Gaby and Georgie were outstanding in defence, making every goal-scoring opportunity difficult for the opposition.
Their pressure, positioning and teamwork forced errors and gave the attackers plenty of opportunities to capitalise.
It was a well-earned team victory, with every player contributing to a disciplined and impressive performance.
Congratulations went to Nada on reaching such a remarkable milestone, while the entire team deserved praise for a fantastic win.

C Reserve
Rennie 31 defeated Mathoura 19
The Rennie C Reserve players celebrated their first win of the season on the weekend, defeating Mathoura in a fantastic team effort.
Unfortunately, Kate suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter and was unable to take any further part in the game.
The team rallied around her and lifted its intensity for the remainder of the match.
Shez was on fire in the goal ring, with her trademark one-handed shooting technique proving unstoppable.
Jasi also dominated at goal attack, driving hard, moving well and always presenting exactly where she was needed.
Through the midcourt, Loz, Eds and Han worked tirelessly, linking play beautifully and creating plenty of opportunities.
Fern and Truds were outstanding in the defensive end, applying pressure and winning crucial balls throughout the game.
Ruby’s versatility, effort and willingness to do whatever was needed made her a huge asset to the team this week.
It was a great all-round performance and a well-deserved first win for the team.
Under 17s
Rennie 45 defeated Mathoura 38
After a week off, the players were eager to return to the court to take on Mathoura.
Mathoura came out strongly, with every player putting up a determined fight and applying plenty of pressure to the Hoppers.
Despite the intense contest, the Hoppers remained focused on the goals their coaches had set in the weeks leading up to the game.
Ella Lewis was a standout in the goal ring, remaining composed under pressure and working tirelessly against Mathoura’s strong defenders.
Her calmness and accuracy were key features of the Hoppers’ attacking end.
Liv Lewis showcased her defensive skills and never gave up against Mathoura’s accurate shooters.
She ensured every missed shot was met with strong rebounding, giving the Hoppers valuable opportunities to regain possession.
Mia Brogan impressed through the midcourt with her ability to adapt while working alongside a range of teammates.
Her guidance and composure helped control the flow of play.
It was a hard-fought contest, with the players showing determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the match.
Under 15s
Rennie 30 defeated Mathoura 12
The players took a few minutes to settle into the game, as Mathoura applied pressure and matched Rennie’s pace.
After taking a deep breath, Rennie’s plays began to come together.
The players supported one another, showed patience with their passing and moved the ball smoothly down the court.
The defenders worked tirelessly to gain rebounds and intercepts, while the midcourters drove hard into space to move the ball into the shooters.
The shooters worked well together and moved effectively around the ring, rewarding the efforts of the entire team with goals.
Each player performed her role with determination, and the effort paid off with a well-earned win.
Under 13s
Rennie 12 was defeated by Barooga 14
Rennie’s Under 13s played a close game against Mathoura this week and unfortunately went down by just two goals.
It was an incredibly competitive match, and the players fought hard throughout the game and never gave up.
Tay and Ruby J both played excellent games.
Their defensive pressure throughout the court was outstanding.
They contested every ball, making it incredibly difficult for the Mathoura attackers to find space.
Grace M and Ruby F worked exceptionally well together in attack.
Both players worked hard to gain front position, providing strong leads and making it easier for their teammates to move the ball smoothly down the court.
The whole team worked tirelessly across the court, supporting one another in attack and applying strong defensive pressure to remain in the game.
The players’ determination and willingness to never give up were outstanding, and they should be incredibly proud of the way they fought until the final whistle.
Under 11s
Team Emerald
The little Hoppers played an intraclub game this round.
They rotated through positions and played at both ends of the court.
They are now so confident with their positions that they run onto the court and take their places.
They are moving around the court and thinking carefully about where the ball needs to go.
The little Hoppers did a great job.

Team Green
Team Green played a good game this week, with some great passages of play down the court.
The players are gaining experience in every position and are doing a fantastic job of learning what is required in each area.
After having a week off, the team has a few areas to focus on at training this week, but overall, it was a very good team performance.
