Coleman could be ruled out for up to six weeks after straining his hamstring just before quarter-time in the club's 25-point loss to Fremantle.
The 26-year-old has played all 12 games this season after missing Brisbane's back-to-back premierships.
Coleman had suffered a season-ending ACL tear in opening round in 2024, then played just one AFL game last year before a quad strain.
Tom Doedee, also looking to make a comeback after injury, is sidelined for at least six weeks with a calf injury.
Doedee - who has only played one AFL game for the Lions since moving from Adelaide at the end of 2023 - hurt himself in the club's VFL loss to Frankston.
Fringe forward Will McLachlan is facing up to 10 weeks on the sidelines with a quad issue.
Lions veteran Dayne Zorko headlines the club's injury list, joined by Lincoln McCarthy (hamstring), Oscar Allen (foot), Eric Hipwood (knee), Ryan Lester (calf) and Jack Payne (knee).

Jarrod Berry, who played against Fremantle after a calf injury, said the club was remaining optimistic despite a sub-par start to their premiership defence.
Brisbane are ninth (9-9) ahead of this Saturday's QClash against fifth-placed Gold Coast (7-4).
"It's never as good and never as bad as it seems," Berry, cutting a relaxed figure, told reporters on Tuesday.
"We always try to find that consistent middle ground."
Elsewhere, in-form defender Lawson Humphries is in doubt for Geelong's away clash with Adelaide.

The 23-year-old had landed awkwardly after a contest for the ball with Carlton opponent Flynn Young in the club's eventual four-point loss to the Blues.
"They were pretty optimistic afterwards, in the immediate aftermath," Geelong coach Chris Scott said.
"We've taken an attitude that we would like to shift the idea that it's possible players play, so can they play, to more of a conversation around should they play.
"It puts a bit of doubt on Lawson, but it shouldn't be construed as he couldn't play."
Scott confirmed veteran Jack Martin will return against Adelaide after he was rested against the Blues.
Fremantle midfielder Hayden Young is listed as a test ahead of Saturday's clash with North Melbourne in Bunbury after missing two matches with concussion.
Matthew Johnson (hamstring) and Brennan Cox (knee) also face tests after sustaining injuries in last week's win over Brisbane.
Essendon key defender Lewis Hayes re-injured his knee in the VFL over the weekend in his first game back after 12 months out with an ACL injury.
The 21-year-old played out the game but reported soreness on Monday, with scans later confirming further ACL damage.
