A fresh Autumn progress update from McMahons Place

An exciting autumn construction update from McMahons Place in Echuca marks significant progress across the growing community, with major infrastructure milestones now well underway.

Construction has advanced substantially, with sewer and drainage works now complete across Stages One and Two. Roadworks are also progressing strongly, with subbase works finished and kerb and channel installation now commencing. The next stages will see the introduction of footpaths and asphalt, bringing the estate closer to completion and allowing the vision of a connected, liveable community to truly take shape.

As works continue, McMahons Place is beginning to transition from construction site to thriving neighbourhood. This is the stage where the community starts to come alive, with streetscapes forming and the foundations of everyday living becoming visible.

A standout feature of the development is the extensive wetland system that runs along the perimeter of the estate, designed to create a natural green space within walking distance of every home. This highly engineered environmental system plays a key role in stormwater management, with water filtered through aquatic plant zones before flowing into the Campaspe River.

The wetlands have been carefully designed with multiple depth zones to support diverse plant life and encourage local wildlife. Once complete, the landscape will feature more than 200 trees and over 100,000 native plants, delivering a space that is both environmentally functional and community-focused.
