Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Pinnuck St, Finley, at about 4.45am on Monday after an unoccupied house was reported to be alight.

Finley Fire + Rescue was first on scene and found the building ablaze, quickly getting to work to protect neighbouring properties.
Crews from Deniliquin and Berrigan joined the response, with firefighters working for four hours to extinguish the blaze.
The unoccupied house, that is believed the property had been abandoned, was completely destroyed, but no injuries were reported and nearby homes escaped damage.
Residents described hearing sirens and seeing smoke around 5am, praising the swift response from emergency services and the efforts of neighbours checking on one another.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation.

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire that destroyed a shop at the intersection of Broadway and Gemmell Streets on Thursday evening, July 9.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 5.40 pm, where CFA crews worked to control the blaze as stored ammunition inside the business exploded.
Barooga RFS assisted the CFA at the scene, with Tocumwal RFS also rolled to support the response.
Police confirmed that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Over the weekend, Tocumwal and Finley brigades were kept busy with storm recovery and clean‑up work after a rain front moved through the district.
Tocumwal crews responded to a fallen tree on Tuppal Road early Saturday morning, while Finley firefighters attended reports of arcing wires on the Newell Highway south of Berrigan.
