Round three of the fund has seen seven projects in the Euroa electorate supported.
Statewide, this round of the $20 million Tiny Towns Fund will deliver 157 projects across 151 towns with fewer than 5000 people.
State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said this latest round took the total number of projects to more than 500 across 419 towns, with grants of between $5000 and $50,000 supporting local priorities.
“The Tiny Towns grant program is so popular across northern Victoria, highlighting the very best of regional Victoria,” she said.
“Congratulations to this round’s deserving recipients.
“The fund is just one of the many examples of our $50 billion investment in regional Victoria since 2014.
“We are a government that continues to invest in regional Victoria, and we always will.”
Most projects are being delivered by local workers and businesses, backing regional supply chains and economic growth.
The Avenel Memorial Hall committee has received $34,736 for the Spotlight on Avenel project which aims to enhance the town’s visitor and community experience.
In Tallarook, the Mechanics Institute Committee has received $31,839 for its Nature Play Space project, while Bush Peeps Inc has been awarded $17,038 for upgrades to its garden club.
Regional Development Minister Michaela Settle said some of Victoria’s best communities were also the smallest.
“The Tiny Towns Fund is helping make sure they have the facilities and infrastructure they need to thrive,” she said.
