Kevin Woolnough has been part of the Lions for decades, and served as president in 2022.
He said the club was proud to have given over $700,000 back to the community over the years, but with an ageing volunteer base the tally was slowing.
“Over the years we have had over 50 members, but we are down to 25,” he said.
He said the Lions were looking for more volunteers, particularly those who could spare a couple of hours of the month for their community.
Volunteering with the Lions doesn’t come with a certain look, only with the passion to volunteer.
The club has dinner twice a month to discuss what the group is doing over the next month.
The call-out comes amid more change, with outgoing president John Simson handing over the reins of the club to new president Greg Anderson at the club’s changeover night.
At the changeover, the club inducted three members to life membership, including Geoff Crossman, John Patterson and Ian Whatley — all have been long-serving members.
