The Victorian Schools State Championships were held in April this year, with Benalla's Maddison Mailer shining in her individual events.
Mailer represented Cathedral College, placing second in the 17-year-old girls 50-metre fly in a time of 30.70 seconds
She then grabbed third in the 50-metre breaststroke with a time of 36.32, and also swam in the 50-metre freestyle and backstroke finals, placing fourth and sixth respectively.
Stepping up alongside sister Cassidy, the Mailers went hammer and tong in the 200-metre freestyle relay to win gold with a time of 2.04.21 - undoubtedly the highlight of the day.
It wasn't their first foray at that level.
The sisters had competed in the state finals during the past couple of years placing second and third, and finally in Year 12 they took home the top prize.
Maddison also had success in other recent championship meets.
In the Victorian Country Championships in February this year she won a bronze medal in the 100 fly, and also took home bronze in the 200-metre individual medley, a great reward for her dedicated hours of training.
Cassidy also recently swam at All Juniors at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, winning the 50-metre fly and placing third in freestyle and backstroke disciplines.
Maddy and Cassidy train with Benalla Swim Club.
Not to be completely outshone, Alex Murphy, a local boy who also trains with Benalla Swim Club, and also swam for Cathedral College in the Victorian Schools State Meet, came fourth in the Men's 15 years freestyle relay team with a time of 1.57.65.
