A month after conquering the Finke Desert Race for the third time, the 22-year-old off-road biking sensation finished fastest in the women’s eight-lap race at the Hattah edition an hour south of Mildura.
After finishing P1 in Saturday’s prologue, Healey finished 11 minutes faster than second in the main race in gruelling conditions to seal a coveted Australian off-road double.
“It was a massive day but I’m feeling good,” Healey said in the post-race coverage.
“I think it’s more a mental game at the end of the day.
“I knew I was fit, just to keep going and pushing through when you’re out front is what keeps you going.
“None of this would have happened without all my family – this win is as much theirs as it is mine.
Healey, finishing the approximately 38km loop eight times, stopped the clock at four hours, 33 minutes, finishing 78th overall in a field of more than 400 riders.
She now has two of Australia’s premier off-road titles in the trophy cabinet concurrently, a goal Healey said was at the forefront of her efforts in 2026.
“To get the Finke win and then come back and get the Hattah win, that’s the goal for this year – and we bloody did it,” she said.
