Tigers roar on Bull Plain Rd
As autumn was about to fade, a lovely day at Rennie saw the Hoppers take on Katamatite.
Taking on last year’s premiers was always going to be a major task, and one the Hoppers were unable to overcome.
The slickness of the Tigers with the ball, combined with a 12-goal first term, blew the game apart as Katty had multiple options up forward and were able to create space for teammates who provided quality delivery.
Taylor and Bruce kicked the goals, while Freeman and Sampson were standout players from a limited group.
Zander Rhodes played his first senior game for Rennie. A third-generation player, he took a nice mark.
Best players were Tana Freeman and Jacob Sampson.
Awards: Mulwala Water Ski Club – Zander Rhodes, Yarrawonga Hotel – Tana Freeman, Lake Mulwala – Jacob Sampson.
