Under 16s vs SCC/Mooroopna
Erin successfully steals from an SCC-Mooroopna opponent in the under-16’s 2-0 win.
The Under 16s dominated the play, with forwards Erin and Ineke pushing up the left wing into the circle numerous times.
Half back Jack pushed through the pack with some well-placed hits to forwards Xavier, Lucas and Breanna, who all fought well into the circle at times and were unlucky not to score together.
The Tigers had a great second half, with an early goal coming from Erin into the circle, deflecting off Brodie out to Cooper and Angus and back in to score behind the goalie.
Rory was again a solid centre half, turning the ball over well before full backs Alida and Steele, who also ran out to dispossess GVGS of the ball, leaving captain and goalie Annie with few touches in a great win.
Score: SCC/Mooroopna 0 - 2 Benalla/SYC
Goals: Ineke Walsh, Angus Hayes
Umpire best and fairest votes: 3 - Angus Hayes, 2 - Brodie Rawlings, 1 - Breanna Graham.
Women’s SYC vs Mooroopna
