The seniors got off to a flyer against North Wangaratta on Saturday, winning the ball out of the centre with quick entry into their forward line, allowing the forwards to capitalise with some quick goals at the start of the game.
North Wangaratta was always going to settle, with the boys told by the coach not to take them lightly and taking the pressure off, but this is what Goorambat did after the first half of the game.
North Wangaratta started to win the ball out of the middle, and started to dominate in the air, clawing their way back into the contest.
Frustration started to show, and the boys gave away some free kicks late in the game, but credit to the boys they came away with a crucial win away from home.
